The Toastmasters Program focuses on teaching communication and leadership skills, but the learning goes far beyond these core skills.  You’ll improve your grammar, build your vocabulary, and improve your listening skills.

 

You’ll not only learn the many skills related to the Toastmasters program — you’ll learn from every speech each member delivers.  The subject matter is wide ranging — from management and other business skills to the arts,

culinary, and interpersonal communication skills.  Every member comes in with a different ‘body of knowledge,’ and we learn from each other with every speech.

 

There are also learning opportunities beyond the club.  Twice a year, Toastmaster International hosts speaking contests that start at the club level and progress to the World Championship of Public Speaking.  There are special programs members provide to schools and youth groups — the Youth Leadership Program.  We have a District Speakers Bureau that provides volunteer speakers to help local non-profits by speaking on their behalf.
